  1. Tēnā koe Lily, this is Elle from the Summer Learning Journey.

Awesome job completing the treasure code activity! This one was a great one to challenge the mind, wasn’t it? Lots of thinking and looking carefully at the pigpen cipher codes!

Well done on deciphering the code; it was Lion Rock at Piha Beach! Have you ever been to Lion Rock before? I have been a couple of times, and I climbed right to the top! It had a beautiful view looking over the ocean.

Great work creating your own code for us to decipher as well! You have given me an extra challenge, as some of the code has been cropped off at the top! I think I managed to figure out that the clue is about a colourful boatshed, and I guessed Titahi Bay; was I correct? Please let me know in the comments!

I notice your Google Slide is too large and is overlapping the sidebar of your blog. To make sure your Google Slide is the correct size for your blog open the post, click the html button and update the size in the html to width="640" height="380"
Here is a screencast to show you how.

Ngā mihi nui and keep it up!

    1. Kia ora Lily, it is wonderful to hear back from you!

Awesome! It’s exciting to see that I got it right! Titahi Bay is so unique and quite beautiful to visit, so that was a clever choice. Have you been to Titahi Bay before?

Ka pai for fixing the size of the slide as well, it looks great!

Your pigpen code was very entertaining to decipher because as I uncovered each word, more of the clue was revealed. Especially when I got to the word colourful, as it had my mind working away trying to think of colourful beaches in New Zealand! Well done for writing such an intriguing clue!

Keep up the great work Lily and I look forward to reading more of your blog posts.

      Mā te wā,
      Elle (SLJ)
