LI: To write a quality blog comment on someone else’s blog that starts a rich learning conversation.
For our second SLJ activity is to Leave a quality blog comment on another student’s blog helps us make connections to new learning by asking open ended questions that encourage a reply and motivate the blogger to ask their own question in return. This is how a comment thread starts and when that happens we make connections with a wider audience who we can learn with and from.Something i found interesting about doing a quality comment onto another students blog post was seeing Lesley Art Colouring Book activity and what colours she used .
Kia ora Lily,
ReplyDeleteWoah! This blog post is so well explained! I liked how you have used new vocabulary words which make your blurb look more powerful. I also liked how you have explained the points that a person should include in a comment and the things you liked in her post.
I have also done this task in my blog and have done eight comments till now. Are you looking forward to comment on other blogs? If yes, how many comments will you be posting in one day?
Keep up the great work!

Kia Ora Sakshi I like how you supported me by saying that i've done awesome and I will be sure to be commenting at least 7 at my maximum a day . What didn't you like about the task and explain why ? I am super excited to be looking forward to comment on other people's blog post because I will like to comment on their blog to ask questions . What made you interested in this task and explain why ?
ReplyDeleteKia ora Lily,
DeleteThank you for answering my question and commenting on mu blog. I think I liked everything in this task. I agree, I am very excited as well because we get a chance to share our opinions with others. That's great! Doing 7 comments a day is a great goal. I was interested in this task for many reasons. First, I liked commenting from the start as the reader and blogger gets a chance to ask questions and give a feedback. I also liked that we are getting bonus points for commenting because that creates a much more tougher competition between the students. Can you tell me how commenting could be helpful for us to improve our learning?
I am looking forward for your reply.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Renee and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey Team. Ka pai for leaving a positive and quality comment on Lesley’s blog. I particularly like how you complimented Lesley on her work and asked her a question about her colour selection. This is a great way to form a connection with another learner! I also appreciated that your comment was so specific. Next time, you could think about including a link to your own blog in your comment so that others can check out your excellent blog posts as well. Which Summer Learning Journey activities are you most excited about?
Remember, when you check out some of the other bloggers’ Summer Learning Journey posts and leave a positive, thoughtful or helpful comment, like you have done for Lesley, you will receive extra points! If you do this, remember to submit a link to your published comment using this form. .
Ngā mihi nui and keep up the excellent mahi - I can’t wait to see your other posts over the summer!
