This week we have been exploring Hauora and Hauora is the Maori belief of health that is unique to New Zealand. There are four walls of Hauora , Taha Whanau ,Taha Wairua,Taha Hinengaro and Taha Tinana . If one wall falls down then everyone would lose relationships and would become a theft and start paying more bills then usual and also unstable . If all walls are standing we will be risk takers and have the confidence to take part in something and will lead there body to be healthy . Something i learnt about Hauora is that there is different meanings of the four walls and that if one wall fell down it could infect us by losing relationships and communication .

Connections to problem solving
Today our internet connection wasn't working so LS2 and LS1 challenge was to listen carefully to the simple instructions we were given on how to create an ancient Chinese Tangram puzzels and problem solve . We used one piece of AV paper and we used scissors to cut our paper to create our Tangram puzzel and I and Wairaka from LS1 collaborated together and communicated together to try and problem solve our Tangrams puzzle to make different kind of animals . Me and Wairaka found making animals out of our Tangram puzzle hard until we asked each other for helped and we communicated by asking question by asking why is this puzzle different to each others . I and Wairaka managed to make a cat and a duck out of our Tangram puzzels by asking for each other for help and working together as a team .

Writing 5-7-10
LI: To use 5-7-10 to write creatively
Lightning never strikes twice, does it?
That was the question that occupied their frightened minds as they crouched, huddling together, next the pile of dusty sacks in the base of the windmill…
While a little group of friends from a nearby village huddling together in a cold abandoned windmill while there is a big storm happening outside. Many think that It was a good decision to stay in the windmill and hide under something while there is a storm happening and some think that the lightning might strike and leave a fire on the top.
What might happen next ? While the little group of friends still huddle In a group of frightened thoughts about if they can be back at home with their loved ones and have dinner with their little group of family .
Well I've seen a thunderstorm. It was not a good experience for me and my family. We were in our house while there was light striking from the clouds to the ground and seeing my family frightened from the noises and light had my heart beating real fast to the point I thought something bad was going to happen. The noises of the lighting were like a thunderclap or a peal of thunder.
What causes a thunderstorm? A thunderstorm is caused by mixing warm air and cold air . What can lighting cause? Lighting can cause heavy rain , Strong wind , Hail and tornadoes . Seeing people lose homes and their loved ones in a Thunderstorm , Tornadoes or tsunami makes me feel like never being in these situations again .
This week me and Sakshi worked together to do the the 5-7-10 writing challenge . Mrs Anderson gave us picture and a starter to finish our story by being creative and using Draft ( D- delete , R- rearrange, A- add, T- Talk) to make our story more creative and interesting. Me and Sakshi had to write a paragraph individually for five minutes and then talk for seven minutes and give feedback and tell each other what we need to change or what we need to add . Doing this task with Sakshi helped build sharing my ideas and making a creative story .
