Explorers vs Adventures/ Venn diagram

For this task we had to find witch person is a Explorer,Adventure or Both. Some Explores  or Adventures I need to researcher about to see if there are both or one of them. We talked about where we put our Explores and Adventures.  I learned from this task was witch is a Explorer vs Adventurer or both.

Kiwi Can Reflection

Today in Kiwi Can This week for kiwi can we learnt about how to be a good role model and what a good role model looks like. We talked about who our role models were. We then played an energizer called 'Hammer'. We got into pairs and then put our fists up like its towering. When Mrs Grace said 'up' the fist at the bottom has to go to the top. When she says 'down' the fist at the top goes to the bottom. After that we play a game called picture it. We split into 4 groups. Mrs Grace told us to picture a car, airplane, basketball hoop, triangle.rounds but our team lost but it did'nt matter because at least we gave it a go.

Cashless society


This week we have been exploring both sides of provocation. A provocation is an action or feelings that trigger strong feelings about a topic. Our provocation that we focused on this week was 'Should NZ become a cashless Society'. In partners(or groups), we collaborated together to talk about whether or not we should become a cashless society. We thought that we should not become a cashless Society because imagine giving your card that has all of your money to a little kid. It is better with cash because My group that i collaborated with  we have created a DLO about cashless society.Even though i didn't want to this task i stepped up and i done it.

L1:To learn about Ctrl F.

This week for cyber smart, we used our smart searching skills and to find out about gourds and how Polynesian explorers used gourds on their travel. In our smart searching skills, we used keywords, phrases, skimming and scamming, Ctrl f and select or reject. After we learnt about gourds, we created a DLO about how people used gourds in the past versus now and what a gourd is. We worked in groups and collaborated. I worked collaborating with Lily, Ong and Afa and Sakina. Something we found interesting, was that today, people use gourds as utensils and decorations.

Kiwi Can: Leadership


At Kiwi Can we learnt about Leadership. This is really important this year because we are the senior students at Panmure Bridge School. We need to take risks, show confidence and be a role model for our junior students. Being a leader is hard and is something we never stop learning about. Confidence comes with practise and sometimes getting it wrong.

Maths Thinking.

For maths  i  worked with my maths group,and we were learning how to jump to the nearest ten by using  the jumping line.Our first number to start the question was 11 so we had to jump to   the nearest ten so the new number  would of been 20.Then from 20 i jumped to 50 so i jumped 30 to get to 50.Then from 50 i plused another 50 and then i used all my numbers to get to a hundred and then  my answer was  89.



Past & Present / Reading

I learnt about Kupe and Cook  and there journey and there exploring in the past. This Activity is about what happen in the past and what know happening  in the future.I learned a lot of new facts in this.I used collaboration to for this task.

Maritime Museum Adventure

LI: To write a recount about something in the past. For the maritime museum trip we had to write a recount about the trip we went to on Wednesday the 26 of February. We went to the Maritime Museum because we are learning about explorers and adventures.

In the morning LS2 and room 5 went to the maritime museum because we are learning about explorers and adventurers.First we got told the rules. Our instructor Lee separated the class into two groups, group A and B. Group A stayed back and group B explored the museum. Group A Learnt about the many explorers that travelled the world and then guided us on a tour in the museum. He talked about the many explorers who travelled around the world.

He taught us for one hour then group A and group B switched places and then group A went to explore while group B stayed in the classroom. Group A saw many displays about the boats and about the explorers.

Going into lunch everyone came into the room and got their thing to go to the silo park. We went over one bridge and had to walk a bit more till we got to the silo park. All the juniors were happy and ran to the park as fast as they could carry themselves. 30 minutes passed and we had to leave so we could get into the bus. When we got onto the bus I felt very happy because I learnt about a huge part of New Zealand history and I could see the displays about the boat, explores, and the birds.






Tech Reflection

Today our 1st session of Tech was at Tamaki college. The Year 7’s did robotics with Mrs Ferguson. Mrs Ferguson was showing us how to do coding,we moved on to the next step of coding.Our second session today was how to make noises on our mbot and how to change the colours .We had to fill this sheet out we it said our input and algorithms ,algorithms mean a process of setting rules,a example is like do not go without me giving you an algorithms(rules). Then Mrs Ferguson told everyone to sit around a table near the screen ,then Mrs ferguson showed us some slides with example of how to do the making noise.Then after Mrs Ferguson finished talking we made our way to our tables where our mbots are.Then I plugged my cable in my computer and then I put the other half of the cord into the mbot. Then I went on the site Mbot and then I used some codes to make the mbot make noise.
